Jim Sargent started building houses in the 1970s during the time of our nation's oil embargo. This embargo inspired a life-long interest in creating energy-efficient homes.
For 15 years, he double metered his customers' utilities in order to monitor his customers' energy usage. His discoveries in this manner, his thirst for knowledge in building science, and his passion for constructing the most energy-efficient home possible, made Sargent a national expert in energy-efficient homes.
Jim Sargent is a natural teacher with subject knowledge that lets him both teach and answer questions from students for hours.
In addition to building and teaching, he is also available as a consultant for those who wish to build an energy-efficient home.
