Bachman
Lake Paved hiking, bicycling, jogging trail following the shoreline of Bachman
Lake just north of Love Field. Surfer Update Bob Woodruff Park Good
for rollerblading, bicycling, and hiking. The city of Plano has
approximately 30 miles of paved trails throughout the city and all are suitable for
walking, rollerblading, and bicycling. Breckenridge Park 375
acre park with 26 acres of wildflowers. 4.5 miles of paved hiking, bicycling,
rollerblading, and jogging trails, pavilion, and 10 acre lake. Any paved trail in
Richardson Park System can be used for in-line skating. Tennis courts are off-limits, of
course. Dam at Joe Pool Lake Good place to rollerblade and bicycle. OK to cross barricade
according to Corp of Engineers office. From I-20 go south on FW 1382 for 3 miles. Turn
right to go to dam at microwave tower. Drive to barricade and park. Fair Park Tops
for rollerblading. Hurst Community Park Natural
area, open space, picnic area, pavilion and group shelter, concession, restrooms, sand
volleyball courts, playground on almost 45 acres. Bicycling and hiking trail. Naturally
wooded area with nature trails. Officially opens August of '97. River Legacy Park Follows
Trinity River and encompasses 400 acres of woods and meadow with ponds and riverfront.
Paved trails. Excellent rollerblading. Restrooms. Several pavilions can be reserved for
groups. Picnic and playground areas. White Rock Creek Greenbelt
Quite dangerous for rollerblading although people still try. |
