This is one of the best science museums in DFW. Kids and parents can definitely discover
science, medicine, computer technology and history here. Several interactive, hands-on
displays. Permanent and changing exhibits pertaining to fossils. Children discover their
own fossils at DinoDig. Also Noble Planetarium and Omni Theater here. Science Place and Planetarium For almost
40 years, the Science Place in Fair Park has been building excitement about science in DFW
children. Literally hundreds of hands-on exhibits and displays about science, energy,
electricity, physics, health, etc. Permanent exhibits include Senses, the Number Forest,
Dino Dig, Language World, and the Goodwin Seashell Collection. Hands-On Physics is also
excellent. There are permanent and changing exhibits here. Special programs are offered on
the week-end for all ages and during the week for preschoolers. Science Place Planetarium
presents programs that are changed periodically and often coincide with Science Place
exhibits or natural astronomical events. Extension 396 will connect you with a recorded
message about the upcoming events at the planetarium.
