What Affects Affordability?

We think the best communities are those in which the houses are designed by the residents for their own use. Since the houses must offer privacy for all, there will always be some guidelines that need to be followed.
It is important that the community be enough alike in style that individuals wanting or needing to sell in future times can find a buyer.
In all communities, but particularly in a rural community with no particular zoning, it is important to have an architectural control committee. For example, there can't be an earthship next to a mobile home next to a straw bale home next to a typical suburban home, etc.
