Cohousing
and Ecovillage Meetings in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex
Dallas-Fort Worth Area

Why do we have a survey? The survey is a
research tool that is compiled, then guides us in: It also adds you to our mailing list for invitations to our meetings and new information regarding ecovillage/cohousing in the DFW area. Please fill out the survey here. It is quickly done. Thank you.

We have four types of meetings: Introductory Meetings, Social Meetings, Speaker Meetings, and Focus Meetings. Introductory
Meetings: Introductory meetings include general information about
cohousing and urban ecovillages, normally followed by a social time, often with
food, and sometimes followed by a speaker of interest to the group. Staying for
social time or a speaker is always optional, of course. Time: Many meetings start in late afternoon, between 4 and 5 pm, and are finished in time for people to go about their Saturday night fun. A few are held during the week. Newcomers are always welcome. Introductory meetings cover:
1. The basics of urban cohousing. Where are meetings?
Meetings
are held at various DFW locations and are by invitation to people who have
filled out our (very short) survey here. Filling out
the survey in advance lets us know what people are looking for in cohousing and
puts you on our e-mailing list for these and future meetings. Speaker Meetings: From time-to-time, we will have meetings with authorities who speak on a topic of interest to ecovillagers. Focus or Business Meetings: As ecovillage locations are set up, focus or business meetings are for future residents to start making decisions about their own community. Newcomers are welcome at these meetings, too, but cannot vote.
