How Does It Work?

Heat from the sun is collected by the fluid pumped to solar panels that are normally mounted on the roof.

Once heated, the fluid circulates back down to a storage reservoir which is called a drainback tank..

The heat is then transferred to your city water by a heat-exchange process in the drain back tank.

Hot water is stored in the storage tank--the hot water tank that you have now or a new one of similar design.

In your storage tank, hot water rises and cold water sinks through convection. The cold water at the bottom of the tank is pumped to and heated in the drainback tank.

This simple process produces 85% -95% of the hot water you need each year. That hot water is FREE!

Energy Independence: It's a good thing!
