Fort Worth City Hall: 1877

Why do we have a survey?

The survey is a research tool that is compiled, then guides us in:
1. Planning meeting locations.
2. Seeking land in Oak Cliff
3. Knowing what people seek in their own personal lives and ideal communities.

It also adds you to our mailing list for invitations to our meetings and new information regarding ecovillage/cohousing in the Oak Cliff or other areas.

Please fill out the survey here. It is quickly done. Thank you.

Although it is now the fifth largest city in Texas, Fort Worth was founded as a small outpost for the US Army on June 6, 1849. The fort was named Camp Worth after Army General William Worth.

Later that summer Major Ripley Arnold moved the post to a bluff overlooking the mouth of Clear Fork. The US War Department officially named the post "Fort Worth" in November of 1849.
