Two featured Mid-Cities restaurants in the mid-suburan area of Dallas-Fort Worth: Thai Jasmine This vegetarian-friendly restaurant will make the majority of the menu vegan for you if you ask for strict vegetarian with tofu. It never hurts to ask your waitperson to cut the fish and oyster sauce in a Thai restaurant, though. Chef is vegetarian-knowledgeable as she hosts a monthly all-vegetarian buffet. Headed west, there is the all-vegan restaurant in nearby Fort Worth. Spiral Diner and Bakery located at 1401 Jones Streeet in downtown Ft Worth through the end of June. If you have not ridden the train from the Mid-Cities area to eat at Sprial Diner, do so before they move to 1314 W. Magnolia Av, Fort Worth in July. $ Headed east, there is Cosmic Cafe, a charming all-vegetarian restaurant in interesting old Oak Lawn home. The kitchen will work with you to remove dairy and limit fat. Eclectic 2912 Oak Lawn Av, Dallas. 214 521-6157 $-$$ For those of you who are new to Dallas-Fort Worth area, Mid-Cities or mid-suburban area for DFW Vegetarian purposes is the communities of Arlington, Bedford, Cedar Hill, Colleyville, Coppell, Euless, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Highland Village, HEB, Hurst, Irving, Keller, Lewisville, Mansfield, North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, and Southlake, although generally speaking Hurst-Euless-Bedford or HEB is also known as Mid-Cities. Dallas and Fort Worth are well connected by rail. You can board the train going east or west in Irving, south of DFW Airport in Euless area, Hurst, and Richland Hills.
